Just a quick video I whipped up last week - mixed media scrapbook page! Feel free to mute the music out if you're not into it. Enjoy!

Yay for Friday! I'm going down to Rotorua today with the family. The kids and I really need a break and change of scenery. Justin's been working on our house down there, this will be the first time I get to see it, so I'm eager to have a look around.
I wanted to share this with you all. It's a hybrid scrapbook page, using photoshop, paint and craft stuff. I loved the whole process from screen to sticking on all the embellishments. I really need to create more and use up all my stash!
SUPPLIES USED: Inkjet Cotton Canvas, Art Papers Set09, Distress It - Brush Set 02,
acrylics, ink, stamps, prima flowers, gems, alpha sticker, tacky glue, plastic branch.
I recorded the whole process for you guys, but ran out of time to render and upload! So I'll upload it after this weekend for yah all!
Have a good one!

Tip For Two Page Spreads (link updated soon)
STEP TWO
Print your design out on canvas, paper or any printable surface.
Print Back Cover and Front Cover Patterns, cut very straight along the outside lines.
STEP THREE
Watch How To Make Your Own Hybrid Fabric Book Video, and follow Back Cover Pattern instructions, when prompted.
STEP FOUR
Continue following the rest of video after marking covers.
OTHER TIPS
If you like you can skip using the front cover and use the title page as a cover once the side part of the back cover is pasted. When binding I didn't stitch through the front cover, because I didn't want any thread showing. But feel free to stitch right through if that's the look you want.

You can view it right here on my blog if you have amazing eye site. Or you can view it on Vimeo!

Feedback on the video is welcome! Please don't tell me I need to make it more crisp or bigger though, because when you're working with web you have to compromise on some of those things.
Oh and don't tell me my New Zealand accent is annoying too! ...I already know that! Hah!
Later!
I'm proud to be a stay at home mother, this is my highest priority. After that I'm a designer, artist, author, & teacher when I can find the time.
