I have some advice for those who are still in their twenties.
I really wanted to get that out there, because all through my twenties (Except on my wedding day & honeymoon) I had a very negative view of my body. Even though I was a nice size 10-12 (for half of my 20's) I felt overweight and I hated having my picture taken. You know I really regret spending my twenties with so much insecurity in that area. This last weekend I have been thinking alot about this and looking back at photos of me in my twenties.I can say now, I really had nothing to worry about, I looked OK... I actually DID LOOK OK!
So to those who struggle in this area...
Here are some pages from my last weekend in my twenties.

Inspiration for the pie chart and composition came from this photo posted by KIKKI.K on facebook -

Of course I plan on creating pages about starting my thirthies, so maybe by the end of this week I'll have something up here.
I'll be back tomorrow with a FLARE FREEBIE! so watch out for that!
love your attitude!! Happy Birthday, sweetie!! lots of good times ahead!

your Lo's are gorgeous (as allways)and I love your piece of advise. I'm in my mid thirties now, and I was the same as you, insecure about the way I looked in my twenties (after 3 kids my body was never the same) and I felt aweful knowing that those are the prime years of youth! but looking back, I wish i had the same body then as now. now I keep gaining weight when ever i try to lose it (therefor I stoped trying to lose it!) and ofcourse the dreadful signes of ageing is begining to show on my face! but then I try to think to myself, I look good for my age and considering I had three kids, all by C-section! (and maybe if i actually exersize I'd lose the extra weight too!)

I love this advice! I am at the tail end of my 20's and I have totally spent most of the time in insecurity. It's hard to not feel unworthy at times I think. I have been working on a better outlook too though and working to find a good balance in my life that makes me feel good to be me!
as always your pages are just amazing!! <3 I love them so much and this new collection is one of your best in my opinion!

Thanks for your response and comments! I have learnt that the one thing stopping me from loosing weight is discipline. But discipline is hard for me to gain when I am not happy with myself and when I'm always beating myself up. I need to be nice to myself today ...I believe that will empower me to eat less and exercise more.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, you have the right attitude! =)

aww Vinnie - Happy Birthday to you...such fabulous advice. You have to believe in yourself in order for others to believe in you...and that we do!! you are so talented and I am honored everytime I get to play with one of your kits...
as I said previously on FB - the 30's really were my best years..dh and I were stable, we built a gorgeous log home, and we had two babies...
embrace them, record them, but most of all live them without regret!

Happy happy Birthday, dear Vinnie!!
You ARE beautiful inside and out! You are amazing woman and artist. And you are loved! You are loved exactly for who you are.
Please don't be so hard on yourself and enjoy this new era of yours. Because thirties really rock! Embrace the imperfection and enjoy each day to the fullest. Because nothing is perfect, we just need to take the best of all the things around.
Enjoy your big day with laughter, happiness and joy.
Lots of love. Gabi

I think it is funny, the difference between how we perceive ourselves and how others perceive us. Two of the most beautiful women I know are obese. You don't even see it. Their inner beauty shines through so much it veils the extra pounds. I am probably 1/2 to 1/3 their size and I disgust myself. I want to get to a place where I am just happy with who I am. I can tell you right now too Vinne, that when I see photos of you, my first thought is, "What an impossibly beautiful woman!" Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday and enjoy this beautiful day!
You have to believe in yourself. I'm convinced that every woman has something very beautiful outside: eyes, hair, legs, breasts ....no matter how old they are.
Try to look in the mirror and ask yourself what the most attractive part of your body is and try to accentuate this part....or ask your husband what the most attractive part of your body is...90% of us haven't these perfect sizes of a model!!!!!
A different way of buying clothes can make you feel more sexy and attractive....you can ask a professional to help you to decide what kind of clothes, what kind of colors, what kind of make-up are perfect for you....and a lot of women feel more attractive and more confident without losing weight.
If you are happier with yourself, you will be happier inside your heart.
A smile a day helps you to live with a positive attitude.
Take care! and enjoy life! I guess you have a lot of things to be happy about!
