Welcome to another Flare Friday! Last week I was inspired with patterns to create packaging labels. Well this week I'm inspired by ...labels!
As soon as I saw the packaging for this hot sauce selection, I fell in love. And I felt like a short trip to Nando's for some tasty chicken legs!
Ok back to the design. Take a look at the bottle shape... see the curved edges? This is a design element. The designer has cleverly used the design principle of repetition to create unity. This curved edge or line, is repeated on the shape of the label & the typography.
Check this out!
I have to use this concept one day!

Have an awesome weekend!

Vin, Fabulous art as per normal, and an awesome freebie too boot. Your page isn't 12x12 and it doesn't look like a traditional A4, can you shed some light on your sizing? I really like the shape of the bottle but I am loving the colours in the bottles!! Have a fabulous weekend xx

Hey Tracy! Yeah the colours are gorgeous aren't they! I really REALLY want them to grace my kitchen bench!
OK the size I have used is a letterhead size, 8.5 - 11 inches. You can get the same size page protectors and I will be printing this straight onto a bazill white cardstock.
Thanks for visiting, Tracy! Always so nice to hear from you!

I hope you and all your loved ones were not affected by the earthquake. Thanks for the inspiration and the cute tags.

I popped by your site after I heard of the earthquake. I see your posting and take that as a good sign that you weren't too badly affected. I love your layout. I don't do rides either! Thanks for the labels. I wish I could achieve the same effect with them as you have.

Thanks for your thoughts! Dont worry about making a page look like mine :) What matters is how happy you are with it. Thanks again for your concern. It's a miracle no one died in the earthquake.
