When I'm laying on my bed at an old age, almost at the end of my life. This is the book I want my children to read to me. Wow...what a way to start a post!
This album isn't one I'm leaving on the coffee table for people to flip through. Its going into a box (that I will hunt for & decorate later) a long with all my childhood memorabilia, other precious 'un-scrapped' photos and more stories I want to add as I remember them. So the box will probably have more than one album, and I'm thinking I might stitch 'Volume One' to that cover above! Because a lot more stories have popped into my mind since finishing. There's no way this project is actually finished.
The entire album was constructed from fabric. The cover features a school report from my first day of school in 1986.
So here it is for you all to see... for the world to see! It's different to anything I've created in the past. It's Magazine Style meets Fabric Arts! And I've poured my heart into this and the entire Journey Back project.
I've really enjoyed reading your comments on the last post about your childhood toys, every story is so different and so precious!
Thanks for stopping by!
Wow Vinnie, this is so amazing and inspiring!! I have so many questions about how you did this. Thank you for sharing it.

Vinnie, it is a complete treasure!
So many love and feeling in the album! Adorable combination of diverse tissues and textures, photo elements and real elements, a lot of text and photo treatment.... stunning! and a bit envy that I 'll never can do anything like this myself ;)))
You are genius and constand inspiration source for many of us!
And can you share with us some tips, how you did it, what instruments did you use, etc? did you print photos on photo paper or in tissue? if it is the last did you need to transfer it to CMYK? if yes how did you do it?
sorry for many questions ....
Hugs
Nat

Truly beautiful, Vinnie. You are so lucky to have been able to supplement photos from "back in the day" with current ones you took of your primary school and home. What a treasure to keep in the family for years to come.

Vinnie, I heard about you last week on the Digi Show, bought your gorgeous kit, and am completely in love with your book. I know all of us commenting wish we could see it in person, and I can't wait for the how-to! Your prompts will help in my childhood album, too. Thank you for the inspiration!
