Last weekend I spent a lot of time scanning and taking pictures of my old hometown. Many of you know I have been wanting to create an album this year, all about my childhood memories. I am so pleased to say I have begun!
The First Step I took: COLLATING ALL MY IMAGES
This involved created a list of shots I needed to take in order to help me with my story telling. It looked something like this -
I am now in the next phase of the project which is basically fusing everything together into an album through photo-shop.
There are lots of writing. There have even been tears. And Yes, I am finding it very overwhelming at times, but I want to achieve this and I'm not going to give up.This is so important to me, I need to do this for myself, so I never forget. For my kids, so they know where their mama grew up and what made her. And for the generations after them.
Keep watching this blog for pictures of the finished album! I have a clear vision of what this will look like and I can't wait to share it with you guys.
hugs
Vin
What a project, Vinnie--I'm sure it will be amazing to see and read. Your drive to preserve history--stories of the past, or in the making--is admirable, and inspiring!
