I am definitely in my happy place when I'm feeling relaxed and inspired with a paint brush. The canvas is my friend that I get to transform. Both in photoshop and in real life. I've been working on this collection for over 3 months now. Just taking my time, playing when I have time around kit designing and family commitments. I am so pleased I finished this, because sometimes I doubt my ability and feel almost scarred to start painting. I guess because I don't want to disappoint myself if I find my skills are lost. I like this other quote too by, Winston Churchill -
”Beginning with audacity is a very great part of the art of painting.”
So so true! I need to remember this when I start feeling creative.
The theme of this collection is Journey Back, because that is what my minds been doing a lot this year... journeying back to my childhood years.
